Species: Neo Heartless, which is the classification that SHOULD have been given to Ansem (and Sora after he released Kiari's heart and before he got Roxas back).

Position: Overlord over the Dark Realm

Power(s): Complete and total control over all aspects of Darkness, including the Darkness in someone's heart. Is able to force Darkness to take any form he desires it to, up to and including making a dark Anti- version of any other character from the darkness in their hearts. The darker the heart, the stronger the Anti Form. He is also able to change the shape of his body, much like Marluxia. He is also able to speak directly to the darkness in someones heart, enabling him to make people that would normally fight him to side with him. You know, someone like Shadow, who's heart is full of darkness and doubt. I believe the term is Anti-Hero.

Weapon(s): Darkness is the Overlord's weapon, taking any form he wishes it to.

Appearance: Has yet to be seen in any form other than that of a cloaked and hooded figure. Underneath any clothes or armor he may decide to wear, he has pure black skin, crisscrossed with blue veins, similar to the Neoshadow Heartless. It is unknown if this is his true form, or simply an avatar exuded into the Realm of Light.

Personality: His personality is base and frightening. He delights in physical, mental, and emotional anguish, especially if he caused it. He enjoys ruling the Realm of Darkness, and is a megalomaniac on a cosmic scale. He will not be satisfied until the Realm of Light is destroyed, and its hearts sealed in the Realm of Darkness. To him, darkness isn't a means to an end, like it was for Ansem. It is the end.

Because people are arguing with me over the Dark Overlord's degree of control over darkness, I am going to give some clarifications.

1. The Body: The body of the dark overlord is made of darkness, for he is a Heartless. A crazy powerful one, but a heartless to be sure. Therefore, because his body is made of darkness it can be whatever he wants it to be, from a brick wall to a shetland pony to a formless dark cloud.

2. The Heart: A heart's darkness is a gateway of sorts for the Dark Lord. He is able to make the darkness in a heart show him a person's memories. It does not mean he is psychic, it means he can see your past. It also means that he cannot take control of your mind or body. He must manipulate you into doing his will, either by magnifying dark emotions, or by playing on your past.

3. The Heartless: The Dark Overlord has complete control over the unintelligent Heartless. However, should a Heartless become intelligent (such as Ansem the Seeker of Darkness) he loses all control he had, and must persuade them to obey his will.

4. The Nobodies: He has absolutely no influence over the Nobodies. They have no hearts, therefore no darkness or emotion. He cannot read their pasts, or magnify their emotions.
