A strange world... The sun, forever setting, gave the city an orange glow. The best place to see the endless sunset was the Sunset Hill, where a strange, short figure stared unblinkingly into the sun. A dark purple-blue cape covered the round blue body and white mask of one of the most powerful swordsmen extant.
The people of this world seem... so much more real, than those in Dreamland...
The figure continued to stare into the perpetual sunset...

This weapon... I need to test this out, but on what? thought Rinlake, carrying the Phantom's Tongue as he walked through the Market Street. His blade amazed Rin with its enigmatic quality, and had wanted to find out what it could actually do. He could have gone to the Sandlot and fought someone there, but what if there were 'side-effects'? That'd be awkward, thought Rin.
After thinking hard, he decided to take a short break from hanging about the Market Street, and then further on a train to Sunset Terrace. Rin hadn't been here often, but today he was just going to relax and not worry about his ghostly blade. He had once heard in the past about a 'ghost train' which could be seen from Sunset Hill, the idea of which had motivated Rin to climb up the hill. Maybe today, I'll get lucky, he thought.

Meta Knight heard footsteps, and turned slightly so he could see the new comer. Silvery hair, green eyes, young. And an apparent swordsman. The sword in the boy's hand gave off a cold aura, and Galaxia reacted by warming to counter it. Meta Knight shrugged slightly, and his cloak unraveled, and fluttered behind him, magic silently surging, ready to perform should it be required. He turned fully to face the youth that still towered over him, holding Galaxia in a nonthreatening manner that would still immediately bring the sword into play should it be required. He kept silent, waiting for the youth to speak.

Soon enough, Rin had climbed to the top of Sunset Hill. However large the sun appeared to be, it was obscured by a small, caped figure wielding a weapon of solid gold. Rin paused for a moment, and saw how powerful the masked person who stood before him was. Rin then thought, He's a bit small, but I wouldn't stand a chance against this guy. Still, maybe I could ask about the Ghost Train.
Made anxious by the small man's fearsome weapon, Rin uneasily said, "Hey there! Are you looking for the Ghost Train too? You might be able to see it all the way up here, if you're lucky."

"Ghost train? I don't know what you mean." Meta Knight glanced down at the train tracks below, noticing them for the first time. "I'm new to this world." He looked back towards Rinlake, and said, "You wouldn't happen to know where I could pick up supplies for my ship, would you?"

Sonic the Hedgehog! "HEY! You there!"
Sonic bolted up the road, headed for the hill of the Terrace, Sunset Hill. He passed the waterways, narrowly avoided the tram, and ran up the road, his feet hitting the cobblestone at amazing speeds. In only a few seconds, he was standing at the entryway, his arms crossed over his chest as he grinned mischievously. Totally. Awesome. Hero. Pose... At least, that was his opinion. The blue hedgehog jogged to the side of the hill and looked down to the railroad tracks below.
"Did I miss it? I heard there was a ghost train here!" he said excitedly. His green eyes were locked on the horizon, hoping that a purple train would wind its way up the tracks. After it didn't come for a second, the hedgehog yawned.
"Aw... I missed it," he sighed as he sat down on the bench. He looked to the people around him. One was blue and white... Odd. The other was a human. It seemed that the humans made up most of the population in the Worlds. Sonic had hoped he would see more of his kind around, but alas. Anthropomorphs just weren't that common, it seemed.
"So... Who are you guys?

Meta Knight looked at the newcomer out of the corner of his mask. Blue fur, with big spikes of hiar sticking out the back of its head. An anthrophmorphic animal of some type. He turned to the animal, and examined him further. Galaxia shivered slightly in his hand. It was reacting to the strong feel of magic in the creature. Meta Knight raised his sword's tip ever so slightly, preparing for what might become a fight. Then again, Meta Knight was always ready for a fight. He was strange like that.

Sonic the Hedgehog! Sonic grinned at the man with the mask.
"Hey now! I'm not looking for a fight!" Not that Sonic was afraid; as a matter of fact, he didn't fear fights whatsoever. At the moment, he just wanted to see the ghost train. The blue hedgehog looked out to the tracks and shrugged. "So I guess the rumor's a fake?"
That was too bad. The hedgehog sat down on the bench and waved. "Oh... I don't think I introduced myself!" With a flash of his eyes, Sonic posed heroically. "I'm Sonic the Hedgehog!"

Had Meta Knight had eyebrows, he would have raised one at Sonic's "hero pose". Oh well. "I am Meta Knight."he glanced at the boy Rinlake. He appeared to haave subsided into shocked silence at sonic's arrival. That made him eminently ignorable. "Tell me, what is the aura my blade sense from you? It is extremely powerful."
